• Are you struggling with choices you made yesterday?
  • Are you living in the consequences of past decisions?
  • Are you worn out, tired, or broken down?

Can I remind you that today is a new day?

Regardless of yesterday’s choices, today’s consequences, or tomorrow’s uncertainty today is a new day. Thanks to what Jesus has done for each of us, every morning is the start of a new day!

The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.

Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT

Today, let’s commit to one more day. We cannot change the past and the future isn’t here yet. All we have is today. Let’s commit to one more day. One more day of sobriety. One more day of healthy choices.

  • One more day of being an engaged, accessible father or mother.
  • One more day of actively pursuing our spouse or loved ones.
  • One more day of pouring out our hearts to Jesus.
  • One more day of _______________________________.

Let’s commit to one more day!

I had Hannah England’s original song, “Fighter (Don’t Give Up Now)” on repeat this morning. Pay attention to the powerful lyrics and let them speak to you. Here are a few lines from the song I found impactful and thought you might as well:

  • He (God) sings over you
  • You’re a Fighter
  • You’re a Survivor
  • DON’T GIVE UP NOW
  • DON’T GIVE UP NOW
  • DON’T GIVE UP NOW

Let’s commit to one more day for each of us!

From Your Friend, Dustin.

FULL LYRICS:

(Verse 1)
Worn from the toil and strain
You’ve fought with all you have for years
A smile is still on your face
Though you’ve cried unwanted tears
Stories upon stories lie behind your eyes
Of hard nights and battles with no end in sight

(Chorus)
You’re a fighter
A survivor
Don’t give up now
Don’t give up now
You’ve defeated
You have conquered
Don’t give up now
Don’t give up now

(Verse 2)
“Weak” is a foreign word
You’re used to standing in the fire
But now, it seems the table’s turned
Your strength has started to expire
Your courage and your faith have held you up this far
So keep on holding on, and don’t forget who you are

(Bridge)
There’s One that’s looking down at you
He sees the pain you’re going through
He takes pride in the race you’ve run
And all that you have overcome
And He’s singing over you
